Hello functional programming knowers

What's the fp way to take a string->replace function, and a bunch of (to, from) pairs and apply them all to a string?

I have like a foldr with a lambda that splits each pair but that feels wrong, like the language wants me to have two lists. But I want to keep the to/from next to each other in code. Do I unzip?

This is in Racket, so there are probably more appropriate language specific features as well. (cc @erkin I think I remember you know Racket)
