Here's a wonderful thing by @mschfr http://www.wirklich-wichtige-museen.de - a map of weird museums in Germany! Adding these to my want-to-go list

An afterthought: don't forget to keep boosting (RT'ing) posts. That's the only way to keep things moving between everybody. Hitting the star (effectively a 'like') only allows you and the author of the toot (tweet) to see it. Hitting the star won't cause it to appear in your friends TL's as it does on Twitter.
Boosting is key to it all! xxx
Security researcher David Schütz has won a $70,000 bug bounty after stumbling across what appears to have been an elementary way to unlock any Google Pixel phone without knowing the passcode.

In 2016, nineteen amphorae were discovered in Tomares, Zaudín Park, located in an area of the province of Seville known as El Aljarafe.
Now, six years later, after analyzing 5,899 pieces, researchers concluded that there were approximately 53,000 coins kept in the 19 amphorae, which were buried in a hidden storage area within a Roman villa, and that they were all minted between the years 294 and 311 AD.

Some of my favourite categories:
- Museum in someone's house where you have to book an appointment to visit. Example: DEVIL-ish Little Things (a collection of devils in a home that's a converted church) in Vancouver Washington, just north of Portland https://www.niche-museums.com/21
- Museums where the theme is "some rich eccentric collected this stuff a hundred years ago" - the Ilfracombe Museum https://www.niche-museums.com/27
- Anything involving William Randolph Hearst https://www.niche-museums.com/browse/search?q=Hearst
menopause, cancer care, illness, palliative care
I see people posting an #introduction and realise I didn't do that. Didn't mean to be impolite!
I'm a touch therapist (massages, reflexology etc.) working as a volunteer in #cancercare, and #animalrescue. I love writing and reading, my dogs and cats (I have 3 of each), travelling, good food (I'm vegan) and coffee. I made Ireland my home 22 years ago. I just hit 50 this year, so I probably should add #perimenopause and #menopause to my interests.😂
The National Museum of African American History & Culture announces “Afrofuturism: A History of Black Futures” to open March 24
It will feature Octavia Butler’s typewriter, Nichelle Nichols’ Star Trek uniform, Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther suit, more
Reminder, I'm on a single user instance (I am the admin and only user here). I've thought long and hard about it, and I realized that a code of conduct doesn't make sense as I would only be enforcing it against myself. So, instead, I wrote a commitment to the fediverse about my behavior and interactions here:
It just occurred to me that across the 4,000 #Mastodon servers each with their #MastoAdmin plus their moderator teams... we have more content moderators tracking reports and complaints than Twitter does.
For the folks who keep asking about how we're going to scale, we're on it.
❣️I agree that no one should force someone else to content warn their ‘phobic experience (racism, sexism, misogyny, homo-transphobia) but I’m not sure what to think about “phobic content shouldn’t have content warnings”
Personally I deal with enough racism and transphobia in a day that when I’m browsing my feeds, it’s the last thing I want to see. Content warnings provided willingly on harsh content relating to those topics help immensely for me to decide whether or not I have the capacity to engage
So I wrote a thing about the most interesting astronomical events predicted over the next 200 years. If you enjoyed the lunar eclipse the other day, you might like to know that 2029 will see the darkest eclipse of the entire century!

Note to white hacker culture, we can't keep brushing racism under the "this was built by Communist trans furries" rug. We aren't beyond question just because we are left wing. That's precisely the sort of attitude that has domestic abusing union leaders running a lot of the Brit left.
Radical politics is a community of practice not a moral position you assume via some identity signifiers.
As a trans person I'm ashamed of the way transness (white transness) is being drawn on to pinkwash.
This is the Diabolical Plots account, which will be mostly editor David Stedfen
