I am an epic poet and a cartographer.

I write poetry under the umbrella title Astarian Scriptures for my pen name Surazeus Astarius.

I wrote an epic poem titled Science of Hermes or Hermead about the lives and ideas of 26 ancient philosophers in 126,680 lines of blank verse.

During the day I work as a cartographer, geospatial analyst, and simulation terrain developer.

In a #NewPaper at #CCS2022 this week, Zayd Hammoudeh and I show how you can use #InfluenceEstimation to detect, understand, and stop these attacks!

Our methods work against backdoor and poisoning attacks, in vision/test/audio domains, and against adaptive attackers.

@CardboardRobot there’s no algorithm like that here. Your home feed is literally just a chronological feed of everyone you follow. The local feed is the public posts of everyone on your instance. The “algorithm” here is social— if someone you follow boosts something, it shows up on your home feed, and if you’re interested you can go visit that persons profile and see if they’re someone you want to talk with. Likes only show up for you and the person who posted the thing. Welcome!

White people don't realize the 'unpolitical' status quo means our genocide.

I’m Sabrina (S. Z. Attwell) and I’m the author of Aestus, an epic sci-fi dystopian series (can be read as complete, but working on the next bit; the first book was a 2021 Kindle Book Award Finalist). I am an SFWA member (huge deal to me thank God) and science writer. I also write silly alien stories, literary fiction, and more. I live in the Boston area and am studying German/I do photography for fun. I post lots of tree pics.

I’ve been really lazy about this, but here’s my #introduction post

My name is Chelsea, but honestly call me pinky irl and I’ll still respond. I have my PhD in IT regarding redefining risk so that it can be calculated in automatically for small businesses. I work in #infosec in particular #dfir (more so the #IR portion) - currently as a mix of a SOC analyst and threat hunter. I also teach!

I love helping the community and volunteer as a staff member for #bsidessatx. As a result if you’re ever looking to get involved, I’ll be happy to point you the right way (but as always, no guarantees). I’ve also previously presented at Defcon Blue Team Village, SANS Blue Team Summit, and Texas Cyber Summit.
