A #FridayKiss From Warning! Deep Water, my novella set in England in 1948.

George sighed and let himself relax as Peter brought his mouth slowly to George’s. He let his eyes fall shut.

Peter’s mouth was warm and firm and slightly hesitant. Polite.
George, all of a sudden did not feel polite.

Today I learned that the first usage of cis in relation to gender dates back to 1914 when one of Magnus Hirschfeld's students coined the term cisvestite. This was before the first usage of the word transexual which I believe was coined in the late 20s

Deviant Art is making artists opt-in their work for their AI generator by default, and making it a nightmare to opt out.

Below is the link for the form mentioned in the tweets.

Scaling Mastodon in the Face of an Exodus

https://nora.codes/post/scaling-mastodon-in-the-face-of-an-exodus

The spike from the recent innflux of twitter users is so enourmous it has completely distorted the users graph. You cant evenn read the numbers any more and the daily user graph spiked past the total user graph.

Wow.. ok then.

Oh crap, #DeviantArt folks, all your art just got opted-in to their AI art gen.

You have to manually opt out. Go to your gallery, click edit on each piece and opt out.

I believe you have to do this per piece? Which seems catastrophically cruel? I'm not on there, so hopefully I'm misunderstanding and there's a global account setting.

(If anyone chimes in with that I'll add it in a reply/edit)

Hello! I’m hunting for my #twittermigration pals. I’m mostly here for reading, writing and books #kidlit #childrensbooks #amwriting # amreading #publishing #MAWYP #bathspamawyp #goldeneggacademy #kidslit #books

I heartily recommend making your own pizza dough btw; its actually surprisingly easy. All you need is flour (500g), yeast (6g) and water (350ml) - and a pinch of salt if you are so inclined. Mix it up for 5 mins, let it sit for a couple of hours, then all your bases will belong to you.

Well, now that I have more than two dozen follower (thank you all!) I guess I should do an introduction of some kind...

I'm Scott, I'm a #GraphicDesigner focusing primarily on the digital side, with #UIUX, and mostly in the #Marketing sphere.

For fun, I enjoy #StarTrek (and other sci-fi stuff), #VideoGames, #Comics (mostly Marvel) #Cooking, my dogs, my garden, and #Beer

I'm occasionally serious, mostly silly, and a lot sarcastic.

Nice to meet you all (sincere)

Hi Everyone! I figured a proper #Introduction is long overdue. I'm Mikeke, (He/him) and I'm a huge ol' gay nerd. I love #Gaming, #movies, #books, and #poetry. I do a lot of #retrogaming and #writing, so if you like any of these things we should get along just fine.

Some fun facts:
Fav movie: The Red Shoes (1948)
Fav game: NiGHTS into Dreams
Fav author: Neil Gaiman

Hey #romanceauthors — do you have a #newsletter or #mailinglist ? Let me know! I want to sign up! 🥰
