There’s no blue checkmark in the world worth giving your credit card info to a company that just fired the bulk of its devs responsible for digital security.

@jann @ruud @jeroen@mastodon.world @spaceriker why DM's are not encrypted i don't know. But passwords are ofcourse. And if a password alone is not enough you can enable 2fa from within the settings page on your server.

@ruud : Reminder, also, that if you mention another user by their handle in a DM, they too will see the DM in which they were mentioned. (Even if your account is otherwise locked.)

I am still very angry about the #cis gay #men #pimps who have blocked me from their platform.

I've been adding value to the platform for 7 years. I've been paying a subscription to use it.

I was in the top 5% users of the platform.

People would ask my why I don't charge . And I would say .. "there are only so many things in life you can do for free"

I'm a fucking idiot. My labour was being exploited by the cis men who run the platform

I write fiction (flash, short stories, novellas and one novel coming in July). My stuff tends to be dark and weird while still hopeful.

There is no plan. There never was. #Twitter was simply an impulse buy so #Musk could pwn the Libs and bring in his dudebro, MAGA fanboys.

Which he then spent months trying to back out of. And only stopped when the lawsuit made too much dirt public.

Musk has a history of making mistakes like this. But those get obscured by his big successes.

He's not purposely trying to end Twitter. And it's not some ploy to please the Saudis.

Never ascribe to malice that which can be explained by stupidity.

By the way, while we were here...Karen Bass took the lead in the LA Mayor's race and it's pretty clear that the Dems are going to win both AZ and NV Sentate, making Georgia a much easier win.

recommendations for #Firefox extensions to help with focus/concentration? i use the flora app on my phone which works pretty well, but unfortunately my dual-monitor setup at my desk is both a blessing (can see my word processor and my music at the same time) and a curse (WAY too easy to get distracted by the world wide web...)
