#niceness vs #kindness:

Niceness is the set of rules us white people established and force on everyone else, allowing us to punish anyone not seen as "nice" (as in, not playing by our shitty rules).

Kindness is giving a damn about other people and acting accordingly; kindness is sometimes speaking out but also sometimes shutting up. Kindness does not force others to submit to a set of arbitrary rules that favor white people.

I don't want a nice #Mastodon, I'd like a kind one.

I am a Compsci & Psych major, senior year, looking to go to grad school for #datascience next year (prospects looking good!). I love probabilistic modeling (still trying to distinguish it from ML tbh), but am very new to it all. I work in a #cogpsych lab right now, and doing a thesis project.

I also love saber #fencing and my dream rn is actually getting together prediction models of fencers, still debating whether I want to look into local or top champs. When I'm not fencing, I'm rock climbing. But uh, rn school is sapping all of my time and energy :(

Paignton Picture house closed in about 1998, this was an old cinema and has recently undergone restoration. While not yet complete people were allowed in Today to see for the first time and find out more about the restoration project.

Paignton Picture House closed its doors in 1999 and sat vacant without an identified role within our community. A grade II* listed building recognised for its historic and architectural significance, it was added to Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register and highlighted as one of the top 10 priority sites in the south west.
