YOU, new followers. Welcome!

Please note that this account is dedicated to the making of space fiction. (really, I'm not a review website)

Concept art, models, storyboards, CG, sets... and many spaceships: that's the flavor here.

On one hand, dating someone who runs their own email server shows lasting commitment even during unpleasant periods. On the other hand, they're crazy.

ProTip you can get six Amazon Echo Gen1 speakers for the price of one Sonos.

It's important to remember companies who can afford crazy social media promotion campaigns - mean they have crazy margins on what they're selling you, or crazy temporary VC cash who will eventually want a hard payout under customer squeeze.

Goodbye, Twitter.
Hello, Mastodon.

A Bunch Of Amateurs is a beautiful, heartwarming film about a slow vanishing of a way of life: each Monday night #Bradford Movie Makers, a group of enthusiastic amateur film fans, meet in an old building to watch and make films. This impressive bunch of misfits do whatever cheap repairs they can to the disintegration of their building, with typical Yorkshire humour and grit. An absolute must-watch, 10/10

Kindle the taper like the steadfast star
Ablaze on evening’s forehead o’er the earth,
And add each night a lustre till afar
An eightfold splendor shine above thy hearth.
Clash, Israel, the cymbals, touch the lyre,
Blow the brass trumpet and the harsh-tongued horn;
Chant psalms of victory till the heart takes fire,
The Maccabean spirit leap new-born.

I have no idea if ANYONE will see this post, but like a crotchety old dude reluctantly turning in his 8 track for a CD player, I'm here!

Elon has made the bird site a flaming bag of poo on your porch.

Today, I'm sharing another #retro #analog #music #cassette #tape from my #collection 🎶 I bought this at age 12, with my newspaper delivery money. Found it in a #BargainBin at now defunct #Kmart store. I still sing along to lead track - #MetalHealth 🤘🎸

I am absolutely in love with this composition. It was pretty much challenging one, but very fun to work on!

Happy to be here. Am one of the trio who resigned from #Twitter's Trust & Safety Council on Dec 8 before #Musk disbanded said Council on Dec 12. #introduction #Introductions

Seeing this place grow in users just makes us more excited to make the best Mastodon Client we can. Of course Tweetbot isn’t going anywhere until Elmo shuts it down or people stop paying for it. It will continue to get updates (we’ve been in the middle of a big update that’s been delayed by all the craziness happening over there). But now Ivory is where we will be doing our best work and then push relevant features to Tweetbot. The irony is Ivory will probably make Tweetbot much better. (5 of 6)

Happy #Caturday from foster cat Tiger, who is available as #A17445 at #MemphisAnimalServices. I have an appointment to take him and his so-far-unregistered brother Too into MAS on Wednesday so they can put them on display for adoption. Fostering to adopt from here hasn't worked. I'm hopeful they will go together and quickly to a new forever home where they can be loved as they deserve. (Looking forward to getting my home back as it was. 5 cats is plenty.) #foster #adopt #cats #Memphis

I did an #introduction when I joined, but it's disappeared since, so this is a redo.

I'm a 60+ year old widow. My wife passed away in 2016 (before the orange stain descended the elevator). You can see my eulogy of her herehttps://timgatewood.wordpress.com/2016/05/21/remembering-barbara-gatewood/.

Since she passed, I've gotten 7 #tattoos , the 1st in her memory.

Before I met her, I was a dog person. After we became a couple, I converted to #catdaddy. I currently have 5 of my own. /1

On the birdsite, I'm @notarytim . On Facebook, I'm Notary Tim Gatewood. Yes, I'm a #notarypublic and have been since 1997 when I was a legal secretary. My 1st self-published book is on a type of notary work & I have others In The Works on other notary topics.

I'm also on Instagram and Tumblr.

"One Day Real Soon Now" I will write the kinky smut that's been rattling around in my head for years. Or a touching memoir of my life, wife, and cats. #SoManyIdeas #SoLittleTime
