Inside is best but if you are caring for ferals or have animals who can't be indoors, please remember: use STRAW never blankets, towels, or hay.

Rereading the #Murderbot series for the second time this year.

I love how "Murderbot" is my "rise and fall of sanctuary moon." You should read it, then you'd know what I mean. @bookstodon #bookstodon

My file formats dissection repo should be now up-to-date.

I am Urban Explorer since 2007 – when exploring wasn't mainstream at all. On Birdsite, I was „UrbExEu“, but I decided against creating a separate account for this on Mastodon.

In the future, I will present one or the other of my works on this account from time to time – because this is one of my facets as well. Sometimes commented, sometimes not. As my photos tell you what I'm not able to say.

Does anyone have experience setting up a #mastodon instance on a #RaspberryPi on a home network and using #dynamicdns to connect to it?
I am not sure if that kind of setup is supported?
I get through the entire install just fine but nginx won't start after I successfully add certs with letsencrypt.
Do I need to #PortFoward any specific ports other than 80 and/or 443? I feel like I am SO close!

Who'd have thought the winning tweet of the year would be such a late entry?!

Nobody EARNS a billion dollars. Please stop using the word "earn" with regard to billionaires.

Billionaires did not earn their money. They *extracted* it. From nations, and from those whose labour they steal.

The incisive Evan Urqhart reported on GOP efforts to define what a "woman" is w reference to being able to have kids (link below). It's v Handmaid's Tale and it is the whole point. Transness is about deconstructing gender and gender assignments; transphobia is about policing gender. I mean

1) stoke fear of trans women
2) gain pretext to "need" to define "woman"
3) define "woman" in a way that serves the patriarchy

it is a straightforward play. Transphobia <-> misogyny

When you're a civil engineer but you always wanted to be a network engineer.

Seriously. HOW can we convince Dr. Tressie McMillan Cottom to come over to the Fediverse? HOW.

Anyway, she had a thing to say about Sinema & performativity:
