We were lucky to see a baby koala in the wild during our recent Australia trip. This was at Tower Hill in Victoria.

Had to haul out my 200m lens +2x extender.

Orville was filming a paramecium horror movie called, “Night of the Squashed Protozoa.”
“Feed that one more red dye, I want it to splatter!” he shouted. Directing was a hoot. Filbert specialized in microscopic cinematographer of subjects 2.3 to 3 micrometers in diameter – he had the eye for it.
He loved monster shoots; he was so glad he’d turned down the yeast documentary, the farty little things.
The diva paramecium looked at the camera and said, ”All right, Mr. Orville, I'm ready for my close-up.”

Not to brag, but I was spewing out hilariously incorrect information before huge tech companies decided to create AI chatbots and ruin the internet.

I worked for another hour on "Board Meeting." I added another layer to the white and started layering in more shades of purple, pink and magenta on the bodies. On the heads I added yellow, orange and red, but these areas will need more layers of paint too.

Twitter Kept Entire ‘Database’ of Republican Requests to Censor Posts

Republican politicians have long been committing precisely the kind of “government interference” that they are now investigating, fundraising off of, & accusing the so-called “Deep State” of perpetrating.

Some of the loudest MAGAs on Capitol Hill — who’ve been endlessly demanding taxpayer-funded, high-profile investigations into Big Tech “bias” and “collusion” — were themselves engaged in the behavior they now claim is “colluding.”

In 1923, the New York Times Magazine published an article about one exception to the then-current prohibition against alcohol sales: foreign embassies.

Charge of the Little Embassies at Washington

Of course, the location of most of these foreign embassies (Washington D.C.) means that the politicians responsible for prohibition were not themselves without access to alcohol. Some things don't seem to change.

I'm trying to give people who criticise the lack of #Algorithm on #Mastodon the benefit of the doubt - maybe they don't know how to create their own feed.

Here's what you do:
Follow at least 50 people.
Then, follow hashtags you like.

I follow #CatsOfMastodon #BooksOfMastodon #WritingCommunity and more.

Then, talk to people. Be nice. Don't bring over #Twitter argumentative habits. You will have a better experience here that way.

New in Public Notice: Dems rally behind Biden — and the political press weeps

"Any objective assessment of the state of politics going into the 2024 primary season has to acknowledge that the Democrats are a mostly united, functional small-d democratic party, while Republicans are a howling abyss of dissension and fascism. The disappointment at Biden’s smooth path to renomination suggests that this is still not a story the press wants to tell." aaronrupar.substack.com/p/dems
