I've not been able to get down to the river for a sunrise or the trail for a sunset but here's a sunrise on the Iowa River from last August.

I suppose since I'm #newhere I should say so, and maybe also say why. Not part of #twittermigration, I've had accounts on other instances previously but abandoned them for various reasons.

I hope that At some point during oral arguments in the student loan case, somebody points out that unlike Brett Kavanaugh, most student loan borrowers can't just have their debts paid by mystery benefactors that are never disclosed to the public.

Someone on the blue site posted recently about hearing impairment and how them tweeting about it had helped in real life because folks were more aware of it. I think that's awesome!

I figured I would try following the example.

I've worn hearing aids since I was four years old. I have a 25% hearing deficit, mostly in the upper frequencies. Most folks can't tell that I am heairing impaired, as I do well with lip reading and such. But it definitely still causes me to ask people to repeat themselves more than an average hearing person would need to.

Anyway, just thought I'd share.

so I have Jury Duty today...

the last time I did, was before Covid and I was still married - I wore on of my Ex wife's floral dresses and looked cute as shit! But a dude who was there with us, kept staring at me, and following me about at breaks and stuff. I did not myself notice, but a black woman took me aside and pointed it out to me, and she said "don't you worry honey, I got your back" and holy shit, she was right, cause that dude was on me, and so was she!!! 🖤​🖤​🖤​
