@ItsTrainingCatsAndDogs I think a lot of people conflate GMO science with Monsanto policies. GMOs are neither inherently good or bad. They are a scientific process that, in the hands of a company like Monsanto, can be used to control and destroy. But in the hands of others, they can save crops we eat on a regular basis from beginning extinct (was it papaya?).

Humans have been genetically modifying plants for centuries. I don't think there is a vineyard that doesn't rely on grafting plants together. I mean, bananas as they exist now did not evolve "naturally".
