A friend was telling me about their most recent #Stellaris play-through. They're playing fanatical spiritualists and happened to be right next to some killbot empire.
He goes into war, takes over a few planets- but doesn't really colonize them, because of his species being Ocean based and the Killbots all being on desert planets.
In come a Marauder empire who abduct some angry killbots.

@commandelicious I'm sort of split between psychic warrior religious folks, some sort of machine or hive mind, and hyper-materialist scientist.
