Happy Burns night to one and all. Scotland's national poet, Robert Burns, was born on this day in 1759. One of his well know poems is "To a Mouse" and hence this little bit of yarn bombing seen in Oban today.

Day 25: Yayoi Kusama

This piece draws inspiration from the Kusama's Infinity Mirrors. I got to use some of my favorite R packages: #ggplot, #SimpleFeatures, and #rayrender. Three outputs are shown here, with glossy, diffuse, and metallic spheres.

the road in mauretania is quite narrow and in bad condition...

after the frenchies fixed one of the camions along the road we reached #nouakchott late night.

we are so happy that we met these guys! it was a pleasure to travel together down the long deserty land. hopefully we will meet again! pour cuisinier un menu vrai pour vous 🧑‍🍳😅

we spent a day at auberge samiraa and this morning we packed our bicycles, said goodbye to our new friends and started pedaling direction south 🚴‍♂️🚴

UFO sighting

Per my previous post, I was not entirely happy with the tiny impact one ND-8 had on daylight shooting. So I headed down to Alviso with 2 ND-8s and 2 graduated filters to see if that massive overkill would allow me to capture the motion of a moving train in broad daylight.

This was a pain in the ass to shoot - the viewfinder was so dark I couldn't see what I was aiming at - but holy shit, it worked!

Here's an 11 second daytime exposure: the first 4 without the train, then TRAIN!
