and we found sometimes water in deep water wells, sometimes we could refill our bottles out of huge blue water bags or we got water from a restaurants tap.

Part of what makes police brutality and racism so terrible is that, unlike other risks, it can't be escaped.

I can choose a safe car to guard against crashes. I can exercise for heart health.

But there is nothing I can do to guard against racist, violent cops. Even being an attorney who is wearing a suit doesn't help, as I've been racially profiled on my way to court, and physically grabbed by courthouse security on multiple occasions.

My daughter told me today she no longer tidies her room, instead she 'resets' it to tidy each Sunday for the week ahead . She said mentally this helps because tidy sounds such a chore while reset doesn't, and the thought that there's a weekly reset means she doesn't feel bad if the room gets messy in the week, because she'll reset on Sunday!
Anyway I thought it was cute and might be useful for someone

everyone we met, no matter if police officer or kid, asked us on how to get to europe.

there is a huge gap between rich and poor, no middle class.

literally everything is imported, since they do not yet grow vegetables in the hot desert.
and there are europeans bringing cars, bicycles, tv's, fridges and other stuff here to trade.

A couple days ago would have been my Aunt's birthday. A week ago marked three years without her here to snuggle my children. My daughter wont remember how deeply her great-aunt loved her in her first six months of life, but I'll be sure to tell her.
