I know you don't need this kind of negativity in your life, but the new issue of Consumer Reports we just received in the Library has pretty stunning findings about the levels of cadmium and lead in dark chocolate, even in the organic brands.

Attached is the bad news. They particularly recommend that children and pregnant people avoid dark chocolate.

Going to go cry into my tea now, until somebody tells me that will kill me, too.

The Northern Central Grain Elevator in Baltimore once was the largest grain terminal on the East Coast of the United States. Inside was a maze of pipes and some of the foulest water I've ever encountered, possibly an unholy, decades-old dirt-beer from whatever was left inside.

The petition to remove #LGBT content from the uk curriculum now has 190,671 signatures, sigh. It only needed 100k to force a debate in parliament, so that will be scheduled by #Uk Gov.

The counter petition is rapidly gaining ground, being newer. It now has 33,030 signatures, but we need more!

We are coming up on Rosa Parks Birthday(Feb 4th). Her home was set to be demolished and saved by a German investor - but that meant dissembling it and moving it to Germany. In that process a hand written recipe was found. Time/place connect to George Washington-Carvers pushing the use of peanuts into the mainstream. These maybe the fluffiest/best pancakes Ive ever eaten.
