I did in fact read your post and it led me to the four conclusions about you. Again from the current post I must assume those "larger cities with public transportation" were US (or Canadian) cities.
And no, I am not suggesting anything. You do and did that. You also brought up Tokyo, which is a nice example of a very large, very dense area that is not really car-friendly, because if it was, it would be a deadzone.
