Interesting framing. Though, I don't see how this would put the EPP in danger. It's a clear shift to the right, consistent with what you can e.g. observe in Germany's CDU and for a while already Bavaria's CSU.
Let's hope it'll cost them votes. But let's face it, those issues rarely converted into EP election results. :-/
