Eternal wet weather due to climate change, fewer and fewer of us cycling, and ever more cars causing more climate change.
Is that how civilisation ends ?
This car park never used to be full. Now it rarely has any empty spaces and there are always cars parked haphazardly in places where they should not be.
@hembrow Might be the weather. Might as well be well oiled car marketing.
(This supermarket car par reminds me of one in Enkhuizen, which I remember as a very pedestrian and bike friendly city but oh boy if you had anything like an accident and needed a hospital after 18h: no way without a car.)
@hembrow Well, the accident happened to my daughter in Enkhuizen, all doctors already closed and the closest hospital in Hoorn, 20 km away. I'm sure they had the nicest bike shed. :-)
@cweickhmann That sounds like a very stressful experience. I hope it went well for your daughter. Car ownership should not be expected in situations like this.

@cweickhmann I'm happy to say that our local hospital has quite excellent cycle access, but of course if you're too ill to cycle that won't help much...
