Ich verstehe eh nicht, wie Scholz *als Kanzler* so vollkommen farblos und abwesend in jedem Konflikt ist. Der könnte den Kindergärtner spielen und die FDP zurückpfeifen. Aber dazu müsste er wohl überzeugt sein, dass das, was die FDP hier anrichtet, schlecht für Land, Europa und den Planeten ist. :-/

Im Fediverse ist die SPD leider noch nicht angekommen. Da bekommt man de facto nur grüne Kommunikation.

I did in fact read your post and it led me to the four conclusions about you. Again from the current post I must assume those "larger cities with public transportation" were US (or Canadian) cities.

And no, I am not suggesting anything. You do and did that. You also brought up Tokyo, which is a nice example of a very large, very dense area that is not really car-friendly, because if it was, it would be a deadzone.

Speaking from experience working with machines all my life, may I suggest a small change to your story, when the explorers get to Earth?

They won't find a signal beacon and if, by chance, they go to Mars, they'll find a dusty quiet place with heaps of dusty, greasy machines and three broken humanoid robots. Nothing works because some cheap fuses burnt out, killing a few other ICs, disconnecting the AI from its sensors and actors. The machines were not able to react and the station was understaffed anyways to keep the systems going. The End. ;-)

@TruthSandwich All right, let me make a few guesses:
* You've not lived outside the US.
* You are living in a smaller US city where without a car (ICE or EV does not matter) you're utterly lost.
* Your daily life takes place at least 1-2 hours in a car.
* You almost never take a walk or do things like grocery shopping on foot or by bike.
