Ovarian cancer is linked to age, and the majority of cases are diagnosed over age 50, after menopause. It's linked to how frequently you've ovulated in your life, because when you ovulate, the surface of the ovary is damaged and has to heal. Every time this happens, there's an opportunity for cell changes to happen.
