Elon Musk turning off Starlink to prevent an attack by Ukrainians defending themselves from Russian state aggression is as clear and devastating an indictment of the ancap dream of a stateless but fully-privatized world as I could have ever imagined.

"Antiretroviral therapy regimens containing two active drugs rather than the traditional three are efficacious in treating HIV, but are not suitable for people with HIV and hepatitis B co-infection."

Here's what you should know about these regimens

“Esse cenário começou a ser previsto em 2014/15 ou 2016. No tempo da crise, cerca de metade dos professores contratados que estavam na escola foram embora. Até foram aconselhados a emigrar porque não havia lugar para eles. O efeito nefasto é que as universidades e as Escolas Superiores de Educação começaram a ficar sem candidatos e a fechar os cursos."

"Although marketed CAR-T therapies have shown transformative efficacy for certain blood cancers, widespread adoption, as well as applicability to solid tumours and autoimmune indications, have been limited by safety, efficacy and operational hurdles. These hurdles include high rates of adverse events such as cytokine release syndrome (CRS), inability to overcome the immunosuppressive microenvironment typically found in solid tumours, and antigen escape and cell exhaustion that reduce durability."

"Most recent studies support the hypothesis that T cells worsen disease, but new research from Su et al.4 reported in this issue of Nature Immunology instead describes brain-infiltrating CD8+ T cells as protectors, not perpetrators, of ’s disease pathology."

'Mads Krogsgaard Thomsen, chief executive of the Novo Nordisk Foundation, which has the majority of voting rights in the company, described executives asking: “Why would we do such a trial with a high risk of maybe not showing anything? I've been comparing social media platforms for effictiveness at getting out a PhD advert. Comparing reposts not a like-for-like as TwiX and LinkedIn both use likes to populate your feed. On this basis, LinkedIn clear winner, X clear loser. LinkedIn stripped out links though, grr!

New blogpost, inspired, as usual, by irritation.

"Man lives consciously for himself, but is an unconscious instrument in the attainment of the historic, universal, aims of humanity."
War and Peace

Lev Nikolayevich Tolstoy was born #OTD in 1828. He is best known for his two longest works, War and Peace & Anna Karenina, which are commonly regarded as among the finest novels ever written. War and Peace in particular seems virtually to define this form for many readers and critics.

"The importance of conformational ensembles to IDR function, coupled to the inherent sensitivity of IDRs to their physicochemical environment, gives rise to the possibility of IDRs acting as molecular sensors of their surrounding physicochemical environment"
