Not too surprising that #Barbie has hit $1bn, but I expect that to grow with repeat views. And a lot of people haven't even seen it (who I expected would have)

@davoloid I've not seen it yet because it was booked up. I have tickets booked though so will see it this week
@chrisgerhard I will probably see it again, there is so much going on and so many brilliant lines and themes. But Oppenheimer at IMAX is next.
I've seen articles that lay the success of the movie on the marketing, which invites a lot of cynicism. It would still have been a huge movie anyway, with Gerwig's reputation, the cast. I was sold on the teaser alone and *I've never owned a doll*.
