I learned english with irish people and they had an accent that was hard to understand at 1st.
Then in Australia, the accent is very different and of course there are variations inside the countries.
I didn't go to Scotland yet and i know the accent is quite strong.
I was formtunate to meet all kinds of different people (canadian, kiwis, americans, english, irish, scottish...) and I love the differences there are.
Btw, I love the welsh accent.

Some if not most of the road signs in Wales are in English too. Llanfairpwllgwyngyll is the longest name in the world still.
In a similar way
Westward Ho! is the only place with an exclamation mark at the end.
Cornwall has it's own language too.
