" Libra: Facebook Wants to Control Your Money
Facebook - backed by some of the largest banks and corporations on Earth - seek to create a global digital currency and reassert Western dominion over the global economy."

A long and rich article which Dr Dejahang posted here yesterday. ( https://qoto.org/@drdej555/103239575953234069 )I read thru and he covers a wide variety of implications. A good read, requires focus.

Images for the Web, forum posts, etc.

Choose your formats - we can help make faster loading webpages, reduce traffic if we chose the best format for images we include in our posts.

I noticed a lag on loading an image included in another website I linked to (in this status: https://qoto.org/@design_RG/103240153529603948 )

Didn't feel right, and it *wasn't*

I use Irfanview to edit, crop, compress images which I like to include in my posts here.

Had noticed the variations, on how sometimes PNG can produce significantly smaller files than the older JPEG format.

Sometimes it's the opposite - JPEG handles life imagery, more complex, better, giving smaller finished images.

Make a point to chose the best format - and be part of keeping things running as fast as possible.

A couple of examples follow, the original page image was a PNG, weighing a hefty *600 KiloBytes*, a bit too much for me.

See the Information boxes for the original PNG, and the improved JPEG, MUCH smaller.

I use the RIOT plugin with Irfanview, and it's a great combo. Both free, small, easy to learn and use. Recommended!

It happens to both #introverts *and* #extroverts. Here's why.

VPN status shows me 600 MB of down traffic, 7 hours session. No large downloads, just web pages.

Wowa.

https://protonvpn.com has excellent service and a FREE account option. 😉

Goodness, it's pretty. I am posting a resized, smaller version here.

Still speechless on how well and easy the crossposting tools are, to bring content from one network to another.

A little bit of configuration, a couple of trigger hash tags, and zoom, it's here. Love you, MOA!
