What would you think about corporations (tech companies like Google, Microsoft, Apple, etc. but also any company like Ford, Ikea, etc) hosting their own Mastodon instances, similar to email?

I support companies like Ford, IKEA, etc. starting their own instances - lots of companies have @companyname email IDs, having @company.social Mastodon accounts too would be interesting. A lot of people use the birdsite to talk to companies and get support, this could be a way to bring that here.
I strongly dislike Google, Amazon and their Big Tech ilk starting instances though. The only reason they'd do it would be to embrace-extend-extinguish, control the conversation, and use their marketing budgets to turn the network into what they want it to be.
