The violent concentrated killings by Hamas and Israel and the protracted killings by land grab and other means by Israel are all reprehensible. Rendering a people stateless and subjecting them to indignities at this scale cannot deliver peace. I hope that in my lifetime the people of Israel and Palestine can live together in one country, with one citizenship, with mutual respect and comity, overcoming the decades of violence in their past and present.
