yes, there will be aftershocks. there could be larger events but that chance is rapidly diminishing. the aftershocks will probably decay with time. it is impossible to know what the future holds, so do your best to be prepared. drop, cover, and hold on. be well.
@earthjay I live in Istanbul and it woke me up from sleep. I think it lasted for more than 45 seconds. Is there any aftershocks expected?
