I have just asked what their thougths are on WhatsApp sharing data with facebook and users migrating to signal / telegram to avoid this.

@zleap Many ordinary users are 'fixed' like drug use to there WhatApp group and would not leave it even if they were proven to be attached by it. Once 'used to using' a specific software it is extremely difficult to get folk to change.
Migration has to reach a 'herd amount' before people switch.
@eionmac Indeed, this is part of my argument, we also need to create something on here that also makes people want to be on here as well as what they have on offer on closed platforms.
