A friend of mine commented the other day after me explaining what the #fediverse is (he'd never come across the term, despite knowing about #mastodon), that it was more web3 than the crypto stuff was 🤣
I have to agree...it's a much better vision for how the web can evolve, even though many of the concepts have been around since, or even before, web 2.0
