The idea of bookwyrm software is pretty good.
Something focused on books is something I definitely like to have in my toolbox.
Unfortunately, two days of playing with https://bookwyrm.social/ made a very negative impression on me.
I have no idea are those problems just instance related, or soft related, but it's pretty unusable.
@digital_carver Yeah, it's simple to describe.
- Half of the time I get 504 Gateway Timeout.
- I don't see posts about books on another activity pub servers
- Sometimes I can't post review or import book with no reason.
That's I call unusable.

Oh damn. Those do sound like the signs of software someone set up once and then let bitrot take over.

I haven't tried it yet, what makes it unusable? I'd been looking for an Open #Goodreads replacement for a long time, came to know about #Bookwyrm a few days ago, and was hoping it would be the one.
