I have to give microsoft props for making the best of all the virtualization acceleration solutions across all the operating systems.
KVM? hvf? Haxm? all have their drawbacks.
For the windows hypervisor you never run into any of those problems, because IT NEVER FUCKING WORKS

it's a brilliant move.
no one can criticize the problems with your software if it never fucking runs

the funny part is that I've heard people complain that hyper-v isn't useful for running OSes other than windows.

well, guess what I'm trying to do right now and getting stopped by hyper-v?

I guess it's my own fault for assuming that "hyper-V isn't good for non-windows OSes" implied "hyper-V is good for windows OSes"

oh hey fun fact:
I thought my attempts to make sure hyper-V was active were unsuccessful, as launching my intended hyper-V VM never worked.

They were not, in fact, unsuccessful, because I did do one thing: I broke virtualbox.

@foone I thought VirtualBox wouldn't work if WSL2 was installed or something along those lines

@dziban @foone been fixed for about a year now. Always seems stable running windows guests in all 3 host O/S for us. YMMV
