Just to say, I am back home now, slept well, and it looks like my wife won’t be letting me out of her sight for a while :-)
I think the fact is decided I was having a stroke and walked to hospital while she was out might be a factor…
@revk Good! You made me think though; how would you call for an ambulance if you couldn't speak? There's 55 for silent calls with police (apparently only mobile). Apparently you can register to be able to send SMS's to 999 but you do have to register for it: https://www.emergencysms.net/registering_your_mobile_phone.php
@penguin42 @revk my understanding is that call handlers who get silent calls to 999 ask for any noise. If there is one in response to prompts, help comes. Doesn't have to be speech.
