Hmm, the speculation is they're going to cancel the fast train from Manc-Brum; I'm just wondering if they're going to soften it by doing more east-west. Sunak's constituency is in Yorkshire, the Manc-Brum line doesn't help them at all. He can't really reinstate the Eastern line at the moment; so I wonder if he's going to do York<->Liverpool improvements or something like that.
