And now, a test of wills begins: Which will happen first? I give in and click "Okay, got it!"? Or GitHub gives up and stops displaying this popup on every pageload?

Notice a bit of irony: This popup would ordinarily cover up critical Github UI elements. However, because of a *second* popup I have been ignoring for a month, a gap is placed between the top bar and the main page. This means that the critical UI elements are moved down just enough that the new popup does not cover them, and I can get away with refusing to click it. I have a system and it works

Nooo they switched from the banner to a periodic full-page clickthrough, so the popup is now covering the "clone" button and I can't use Github at all without clicking the hated "Got It". I am defeated.
