@davidgerard Sigh. Friends don't let friends use HP kit this decade. (I remember back in the 1980s-late 1990s when they made *really* solid hardware. Then Carly Fiorina envenomated them, and now the dying whale is twitching tetanically but basically not in a good way—it's too big to die all at once, but the process in underway.)

The sheer amount of damage that creature did to HP and beyond is staggering. All in the name of "shareholder value", a phrase that is more cursed than just about everything else I can think of.

Ironically, actions that companies justify as being done for "shareholder value" are, in the long run, usually the ones that actually destroy shareholder value.
