Just reported overvoltage to local electricity company (ENWL) - it was bobbing around 256v around midnight last night for a good 10mins or so; enough for my UPS to output limit somehow.
@penguin42 err. Is that even a problem?
@falken Technically: Yes because the upper spec for UK mains is 253v, Practically: My UPS is clicking in and voltage limiting which is probably bad.
@penguin42 well, that's it doing its job. Would my house or unprotected appliances be at risk, for instance, is what I meant to ask
@falken Well, it's only just over spec, and it's only happening for short periods, so ... probably nto; too worried; but it is pushing it a bit.
