@michael Yup, very familiar with Nextcloud for clients, just not for me yet. I can run Nextcloud on my local synology, which makes sharing difficult, or pay to host online. But if I am paying, why not pay someone else to manage it all for me (Dropbox/Sync etc)? And yeah, all those privacy issues etc. Nextcloud though has the added bonus of all those add-ons, which some are pretty nice. I’d need around 1TB, perhaps I can back it with AWS S3 to keep costs and redundancy down?
@falken @michael The NAS has 8TB RAID split over 4 4TB Drives with a hot spare. Not sure I want it to be publicly accessible… though I guess part already is for my photo gallery.
Sadly need Dropbox and Sharepoint for a few clients, but at least I don’t pay for those.
