It is possible to create a QR code which encodes the details of a wifi network, which is pretty cool. If I have a screenshot of that QR code _already on my phone_, how can I tell my phone to pay attention to it to connect to that network? I can't take a picture of my phone with my phone. Is there some URL schema I can use to construct a URL to connect to a wifi network with a link?

@falken that doesn't help. I know what it decodes to: a string which looks like WIFI:T:WPA;S:MyNetworkName;P:ThisIsMyPassword;; (see https://www.qr-code-generator.com/solutions/wifi-qr-code/). What I want is to tell the phone I'm on to *act* on that string without having a QR code for it in the real world to scan.

@sil as far as I know, that's impossible.
@falken my web page knows the wifi details for the place you're in. I would like to put a button on that page which says "connect to the wifi using these details" and have it work...
