Also, fwiw, you can deploy single lambda functions directly in approx 3s and, of course, Architect sandbox works locally and starts up subsecond. As far as iteration speed goes: there is no one or way faster to build for AWS han Architect (or if you prefer #frontend Enhance)

@0xabad1dea I'm not so sure about that. I'm using the pro version of Windows 10 and my attempts to not use Bing were eventually defeated completely. There is no "absolutely the fuck not" switch for Windows surveilling my local file searches by forwarding them to Bing. I had to turn it off with registry hacks.

I do agree whatever scam they're pulling with juicing the OpenAI numbers cannot possibly be financially sustainable. I don't know how long that can last.

The way the social media cards have fallen, I think my natural home is now here on Mastodon - despite its limitations.

Overall I prefer the exchanges on
here, which can be considered views rather than instant 'takes'.

Threads is now tending towards toxicity (especially the default "for you" tab which you cannot opt out of; Bluesky has not caught me; and I really only visit X for the Aston Villa tweeters still on there.

Can we just stop using Discord and go back to using forum sites?

I realize it's (comparatively) super easy to set up, but y'all realize it's just going to bite us all in the ass as soon as someone at Discord decides they need to turn up the profit ratio?

It's a ticking time bomb. The whole thing is going to follow the enshittification process, and anything of value on there is going to be lost/sold/destroyed. Y'all are just feeding the monster.

My free Pixel Watch 2 finally arrived today, and immediately I'm hit with a massive problem: Fitbit, which is Google's new fitness stuff, does not work with a Workspaces account. Just won't accept it. As usual, Google fucks over its oldest, most loyal paying customers. I've had this account since 2006. So no fitness features for me. At all.

Good job, Google. Better waste some more money on your useless "AI" features while your actual customers get boned.
