Also found what I think is the worst barrier I have ever come across on an NCN route in Consett today. The NCN route goes through the hairpin on the left.

@Gazza_d And I thought *these* were the worst - not only do they require a swerve dangerous for all bikes, and actually too severe for some longer bikes to even fit through - but there are literally DOZENS of them positioned every half mile or so along the entire rail trail...
