@franconi @aaronhertzmann @vardi about 20 years ago, in my German-language lecture the prof was explaining AI saying that in English "intelligence" is a very broad term including even agencies like CIA. So, his argument went, don't get messed up with linking it to human intelligence. Then, he was teaching control theory within a mechanical engineering curriculum, and I was a maths student having his class as an elective. We couldn't care less about computer scientists and neuroscientist. Now, from the perspective of a researcher in both technology-enhanced learning and digital humanities, I still feel the same.
