So one of my great paternal grandparents was the founder of a town out in massachusetts. Being the male line and all I still carry his last name and coat of arms.
I really should visit the town, maybe they will have a parade for me (joking of course).

Very cool, nice to know what your ancestors did, we lose that history so easily over time.
I enjoyed visiting both my paternal grandparents home villages in their home country, a couple years ago. Very emotional moment, arriving there for the first time, after wondering what their places were like.
They never returned once they left, sadly.
