@M0YNG I noticed, that is a step up. But my concern with microsoft isnt about branding or telemetry so much. My concern is that they usually just build poor quality software.

I am no authority on text editors, but I believe the correct answer is always #emacs regardless of the question being asked even if it’s not immediately obvious now, the correct answer will be emacs.

I use #vscodium because it pleases me. I find it irritating that it is node/electron based, however in this case the cancer appears benign.

Technically true. But it wa developed before microsoft owned them so strictly speaking not actually developed by microsoft. Which is at least partly its saving grace.
