I think one of the most common and harmful thought we all have is "I can be excessively self-indulgent now as long as I make up for it later". It is at the root of most drug addiction, procrastination, failure of greatness, weight problems, and social problems. A habit best broken.

@freemo As a non-sequitur, here is an unrelated graph explaining the Dunning-Kruger Effect, shorthand for “incompetent people think they’re much better than they actually are”. :octavio:

@cowanon
My sequitur to your nonsequitur: People feel more compelled to announce something as a nonsequitur but never announce when a statement they are about to make is a sequitur.

@cowanon @freemo

NOW THATS ,BULLSHIT I KNOW IM ,MUCH BETTER THAN, THEIR ARE !!!

@cowanon
weird, I would have imagined the perceived ability to go down with time (not just down in proporrtion to the actual test score)

@freemo

@freemo

You are right, I misread it.

If I can rephrase it, I would have thought the perceived ability to go lower and lower as the actual ability increases
