@icedquinn That is a valid point in general... but instances on the fediverse dont usually have "merchant accounts", they receive donations sometimes but not through any means that makes these sorts of stipulations that I know of.
@freemo a lot of instances also pass through hetzner which has a policy of immediately terminating accounts if they decide they saw porn on it.

patreon has an ever growing list of arbitrarily forbidden things and they have banned people for off site conduct (Sargon) that also didn't even reference the site.
both of those are pretty common platforms. (blob used to have a patreon too but it was censored for reasons i'm not privvy to)
