ariadne's opinion of freemo is irrelevant and the claim of "centralized moderation" and "protection of bad actor instances" appears to be the complete opposite of what the ufoi site reads.
It appears this Snow character really did a number on qoto's reputation. I have a feeling if ufoi was another instance's creation it wouldn't catch nearly as much flack.

It is strange, yes. However, what snow did is show that the #fediverse currently has a weakness: #fediblock and other blocklists. They are run by the few and whether good intention or not they are "centralized." The concept of a democratically connected group of instances seek to add the decentralization back into to decentralized #socialmedia. This is the reason for the #twittermigration after all.

To prove that i have no nefarious intent personally... all i want is a fair shake and to ensure others get the same (As you point out, protect against nazi's like snow)... I stepped down as the council member.. So I have no position of power of any kind... though i will continue to invest time to build it... people will continue their attacks.
No one bothers tohear my side though.. everyone blocked no one listed.. i hear people talking about how QOTO is a hot bed for right wing this or that, and hidden hate speech... yet these are the kinda of things our LGBTQ community here actually say (and what anyone would say if they took the time to look):
