Resource checks against requirements for crafting now works
Next part is the 'crafting' itself, just basically removing requireds and adding item
@stux You coding this? Sounds like you learned to program since we hung out, awesome! What language?
@freemo Yup
im following a course for UE 5 now, went all in with MMO haha
Made a FPS last week and some animations yesterday
But i code for years already haha! Started at 12 i think..
UE is just simple blueprints, ill keep C++ for later
@stux Awesome man.. looks good.. C++ 3d stuff can be a bit hardcore but very rewarding too. These days though you kinda need to use engines, too much to build out from scratch.
@freemo Thanks!
You can really create awesome things within Unreal holy shit!
On my profile are some GIFs that i made yesterday
@stux Havent really went too deep into unreal, im too busy crunching numbers when I code to have the pleasure of doing anything for entertainment sadly... that said doing an MMO has always been one of the things i kept on my bucket list (and have some lowkey toys i did that were mostly text based but rather cool in their own way)
@stux Awesome man... creating your own software is a whole new ball game... worth every second, a hell of a lot of work, plenty of mistakes to learn from... but so damn rewarding... No doubt youll have something you will be excited about if you follow it through. The bigger your project gets (assuming you keep it clean and keep rewriting shit till its perfect as you go) the more exciting it is to work with, at least for me.
@stux there is a reason 3d games are so common though
@freemo It very much is indeed and basically everyone can do it so i was a bit amazed by how 'few people' create in this software for example
Also got Laravel on the planning still but this is far more dynamic
