Weird things that bothered you as a child? I'll go first:
It bothered me endlessly that pencils don't write black. I don't know if I was craving more contrast on the paper or if I just thought they *should*.

@braindouche if only your child self knew about soft lead pencils then... the softer the lead the closer to black they get.
