from what i can tell a shotgun mic is about the same as a condenser with just slightly less room reverb

@icedquinn A shotgun mic is not a type of pickup. A shotgun mic can be a condenser or a dynamic.
@freemo it's not doing a great job of being directional in my experiments. about the same as the omnis with a little less reverb

@icedquinn their directionality is frequency dependent and has front and back lobes so wont isolate thr front from the back even at the correct frequency.
