I'm always a little taken aback over how much more effective video or a tape is when compared with a transcript.
I guess it makes it much more real-- although the tape of Trump gigging at the notion of a document being "classified" sounded *exactly* the way I heard it in my mind when reading the transcript.
Maybe we should encourage more Americans to read film and play scripts for fun. You can "watch" a script if you read it with care.
@futurebird My actual honest reaction: leaking that tape was a Trump-ist move. We already had the transcript, there was no need for an audio take. The point of the leak is that it was a leak.
I think it got out because the judge has everyone spooked.
But I suppose it is tragic when secrets aren't respected.
How would focusing on the public rather than the jury help? The jury doesnt interact with the public so wouldnt that be short sighted and ultimately lead to a greater chance of loosing?
